Ruben gets condo unit
• Forgets to thank Davao supporters
DAVAOEÑO Ruben Gonzaga, the Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2, is now in cloud nine–and why not? He’s finally received the other major prize –a condo unit — from the most popular reality show in the country.
The month-long wait was certainly worth it for Gonzaga, who was handed the key of his own condo unit in Chateau Valenzuela by Globe Asiatique officials on Tuesday, ABS-CBN reported.
"Masaya po at laking tuwa ko na nakuha ko ang condo unit ko, may sarili na akong bahay dito sa Manila," Gonzaga told abs-cbnNews.com over a phone interview.
Gonzaga was born and grew up in Davao City and his parents and kin still live there. He is currently staying with his wife and kids in a rented apartment somewhere in Metro Manila.
Now he can’t wait to move to their new condo unit, which reportedly cost P750,000.
"Nandoon ‘yung parang na-surprise ka na pa wow ka, kasi magkano din ‘yung condo di ba? So talagang nandoon ‘yung puso na nakuha mo ‘yon dahil sa mga ginagawa mo dahil sa pagsubok sa buhay mo," he said.
Gonzaga, who was dubbed as the "Komedyanteng Promdi" during his stay at the PBB House, said he is already making arrangements to move his wife, kids and other family members into their new home.
Gonzaga reflected on how much his life has changed. And even if he became an instant star and millionaire, he still thanks the Lord for all the good things that has come his way.
"Siguro unang-una sa lahat thank you kay Lord. Si Lord talaga sobrang love ako kahit alam kong marami akong kasalanan, talagang nandoon siya para sa akin," Ruben said.
But Ruben forgot to thanks his Davao supporters.
ABS-CBN quoted him as saying: "Marami ding salamat sa mga taong sumusuporta lalo na sa PBB Celebrity Edition. Maraming salamat sa inyo lalo na sa taga-Zamboanga, Cebu at sa Maynila."
